My name is Melissa East. I graduated from Lenoir-Rhyne in May, 2014. I graduated as a North Carolina Teaching Fellow with a degree in Health and Physical Education and obtained my certification to teach Elementary Education. I often try to teach "outside of the box" and come up with new games and activities that my students will enjoy.
When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and son, reading, and crafting. I am a Carolina Panthers and a Carolina Tarheels fan. I have a huge heart for the Lord, and I always try to display His love through my actions. In my classroom, I will always try to maintain a positive atmosphere by encouraging students to speak kindly to one another and to always believe in themselves.
Every child has the ability and the right to learn. Every time a student walks through the doors of my classroom, it is my goal to make sure they learn something new and that they have fun while doing it!
